Space Camo = Grey.
The only components of the space cowboy revolver that I'm planning to paint are the rail and handguard. I considered painting the mount that I made for the rangefinder, but like the polished aluminum looks and have decided to leave it that way.
Our space friend is getting some fancy built-for-guns coloring instead of some classic rattle can: Brownells Aluma-Hyde.

After the first coat, I found a blemish on the underside of the rail, shown below. I fixed the spot, resanded the bottom of the rail and applied a second coat of the Parkerizing Gray Aluma-Hyde.

A final coat. A week to dry. Then final assembly.
